The Original Horsefeathers

The Original HorsefeathersThe Original says it all doesn't it? North Conway's landmark restaurant (opened in 1976) has many loyal customers who come to enjoy not only the food but also the original bar area with high-top tables, the broken clock (it's still right twice a day) and big windows so you're able to people watch. Other than the occasional fresh coat of paint and new carpet this part of the restaurant hasn't changed in years...dare I even say decades. Oh wait, we did add several large flat screen tv's so you can watch your favorite sporting events. Of course, if you want to watch them on an original black and white console television we might be able to arrange that too.

In "The Original" part of Horsefeathers you'll also find some of our long-time bartenders, Randy and Brook. Though not original they've been here a very long time and we consider them each "one of a kind". Whether stopping in for a quick drink, a business meeting or lunch with friends you're guaranteed to find sustenance, merriment and cheer served up daily in The Original at Horsefeathers. Cheers!

Windows On Main Street

Windows On Main StreetOur "Windows On Main Street" dining area is on the second floor of the restaurant and when you arrive you'll know why we named it the way we did. With several giant windows on the front of the building you get a fantastic view of Schouler Park, the Conway Scenic Railroad and the Moat Mountain range behind the historic train station. In the nicer weather months when we have the windows open you'll be able to hear the trains blowing their whistles as they enter and depart the train depot with a load of tourists aboard.

As you overlook Schouler Park, and depending on the time of year, you could be watching children play football, baseball, soccer or people hanging out playing frisbee or catching some sun. In the winter, you'll find a Norman Rockwell type of experience in the park as people ice skate in the outdoor skating rink that the Community Center puts up every winter. Some days it's fun just to watch the weather move across the mountain tops.

Regardless of what's happening in North Conway Village you can sit back, relax and enjoy a fantastic meal and some drinks in Windows On Main Street in Horsefeathers.
